Some of the key problems we like to address here at Hands of Unity are the stigmas created around mental health and addiction diagnosis. It has been made abundantly clear by the federal systems created, the discriminatory laws passed, and the minimal funding provided to our communities over the years, that these matters are not a priority in this country.

​Supporting Your Recovery
Hands of Unity has been servicing individuals with substance abuse disorders to better aid our community and contribute to Virginia's goal to "Building and Transforming Coverage, Services, and Supports for a Healthier Virginia''

At Hands of Unity you can enhance your recovery and support in group and individual settings in our Intensive Outpatient Services, available to medicaid members with Sentara or Molina. Not only are you able to gain a community in your journey with recovery, you gain support from an interdisciplinary team to connect you to additional support for your success such as: Case management, Medication management, MAT Services, Medical, Psychological, Psychiatric, Psycho education services and much more; dependent on the Individualized Treatment Plan. But above all else, we aim to enhance our client's lives each day we have them in services.
